Daylily 'Aztec Gold' - Live Plants - Hemerocallis Blooming Ground Cover Ornamental Foliage

Aztec Gold Daylily has solid clean blooms that are dark golden yellow in color. Flowers stand out beautifully against the rather dark green grasslike foliage. Blooms start in early summer, and last throughout the entire summer season. This variety is an excellent re-bloomer, meaning that it is known to produce several "waves" of blooms throughout the summer months, rather then just one heavy bloom period in early summer.

• Good numbers of blooms generally appear all throughout summer, and well into the early fall. Re-blooming can be further increased & encouraged through the removal of old, expired blooms & stalks
• Foliage is semi-evergreen in warmer climates, but will look rather rough during the winter months and will go completely dormant in colder climates. We actually suggest trimming, or "mowing" the foliage back to a height of about 3 or 4 inches at the end of the fall season. This way, the foliage can have a fresh, new start when spring rolls around, and will look its absolute best all season long.
• Very low maintenance - one of the taller daylilies we grow at maturity. Aztec Gold is a great bloomer - and it's vibrant golden yellow color is virtually unmatched in any other daylily.
• Daylilies have sword-like leaves arranged in pairs and grow only at the base of the plant. The leaves are narrow, smooth and slightly folded, with a central ridge running lengthwise down the back of the leaf. Six hours of sun or more will provide better blooming. Use for mass plantings, ground cover, erosion control, edging, borders, mixed beds, rock gardens.
• Daylilies are grown for their showy and many times fragrant flowers which come in a wide range of vibrant colors. The individual blooms last only for one day but there are many blooms on strong stems that rise above tall grassy foliage.
