Azalea Pink Ruffle - Live Plants - Pink Flowering Rhododendron Shrub

This evergreen shrub produces immense amounts of pink-violet flowers with 2 inch blooms every spring. It grows 3-6 feet tall. It is ideally used as a screen, accent, hedge, and highlight areas. It is essential to frequently water newly planted azaleas due to their shallow root systems. The amount of water necessary should equal one inch of rain per week. Pruning helps maintain an attractive look while inducing branching for seasonal blooming. Pink Ruffle Azalea is a very attractive mid sized Azalea shrub with beautiful medium green evergreen foliage, and a huge explosion of 3" diameter light violet pink colored blooms. Blooms are superb throughout the spring, but Pink Ruffle is also well known to re-bloom again ( though not as heavily ) again in the fall. Like all Azaleas, Pink Ruffle prefers semi shade, and will even do well in planting locations with mostly shade. Shallow, non aggressive root system makes them a great foundation planting choice, and can even be planted closely together for use as a colorful hedge. Popular uses for Pink Ruffle include foundation plantings, colorful accents or borders, and also works very well in container gardening. Have even seen this variety used as an understory planting under the shady canopies of larger shade trees.
